Summer Reading 2018: Oakland A’s Homerun Readers

This one is a new-to-us summer reading program. Or maybe it’s just new. I think the Summer Edition is new. You know we love a good ballgame in the summer…watching it, not so much the playing. :p This one is easy peasy. Read on below to find out how to get to an Oakland A’s game this summer. Read about other national and local-to-us reading programs HERE.

3 Simple Steps

Step 0 :: Sign up online.

I can’t remember how we initially signed up because I don’t see the form I filled out to receive the 50th anniversary book and bookmark. But you can download the printable at the link I’ll post in Step 2+3.

Step 1 :: Choose books + start reading

We have lots of recommendations! Just ask! 🙂

Step 2 :: Fill out the form.

You don’t have to print out the printable for your kiddo to record their books, but if it encourages them to read, you can and should! Then complete the form HERE.

Step 3 :: Head to Will Call on the date you selected to receive your tickets.

There are a few games left to choose from, but once you’ve filled out the form your name will be added to the list to receive 2 tickets per completed form/child. You can’t select your seats and you can’t upgrade the tickets, but if you want to purchase additional tickets next to where the assigned seats are for family and friends who aren’t eligible or didn’t take part in the reading program, I believe you can email in to ask about it. We sat in Section 228. You can see from the photo below our view. You can read more about the game itself and Championship Plaza at THIS LINK once it is published.

Are you or your kids participating in any summer reading programs this summer?
