I love a good story. Whether it is a made-up story from a book or a story my grandmother told me about her childhood, I think stories have a way of connecting people. Our church has been celebrating different “heritage months” through the year, and it has brought about many stories. There have been stories of success, of failure, of anticipation, of hope, of hope lost, of grace, of forgiveness, of faith, of reconciliation, and of love. Healed by Grace is a movie releasing on DVD on September 18, and it makes me think of stories that some in our community may be living out.

What do you get when you put an almost-15-year-old who loves horses, her mom who receives a cancer diagnosis, an estranged grandfather who is a horse trainer? A heartwarming, humorous, and inspiring story of how things can work out in its own time. The girls really enjoyed this film and know their horse-loving friends will too!
