I have an audition coming up next month. And I am super nervous about it. I don’t know about you, but have you ever felt nervous for auditions too? I think I feel nervous for auditions because I don’t know what the outcome will be. So I was thinking. I was worrying so much about this one thing! And then I told myself, “What’s the point in doing it if you never believe in yourself?” And that’s true for all of us. Because for everything…to take the leap, we just have to say yes. It’s the same with doing what God has called us to.

What is it about: It’s about different ways how we can say yes. I thought it like was a cross between a devotional and a book. It also shows the Fruits of the Spirit and how we can say yes to growing in each of the character traits too.
Like: I like the theme of this book. I enjoyed the little tips and verses inside the devotionals.
Dislike: I didn’t really dislike anything. I think I liked the entire book.
Recommend: I would recommend this for girls ages 8-12.
A NOTE FROM MELODY’S MOM
When I can’t see the whole path in front of me without directions, it is hard to trust I will find a way to my destination. That is how following God is like. Sometimes He calls us to tasks but He surprises us with unexpected twists and turns on the road to where He wants us to be. It is definitely not easy to listen to Him at times. But if we knew exactly what to do, where to go, and the plan to get there, we would be in control, then we wouldn’t need God. I think it will be a life-long journey to learn to say yes, but I know He has some great things in store when we trust in His way. I love that this book is a challenge for girls to really go beyond what is mediocre and just settling for what’s comfortable. This challenges me as a mom to set the example too. Are you ready to say yes to God?
