God’s Big Plans for Me Storybook Bible

Today I thought, “Yes! I have finally established my God-time plan!” God Time is what I call me doing my devotional, praying, and reading the Bible.  I discovered my plan a couple months ago. Different stories are a bonus for me. This was an excitement for me when I saw it because I thought, “Devotional? Wow, cool!”

What is it about: This book is a book of Bible stories, and also little snippets to help you along the way.
Like: I like that it’s a combination of a devotional (the little snippets) and the Bible.
Dislike: I didn’t dislike anything.
Recommend: I would recommend this for kids ages 6-9.

Rick Warren takes 40 stories from the Bible and weaves in details of how God was able to help each of the people in the Bible find out what they were meant to do with their lives. We aren’t always able to see what purpose we have in the little everyday moments but it was the same for many of the people in Bible times. They were usually ordinary people doing ordinary things that God made extraordinary when they lived out their purpose. The themes from each day’s story is relatable to young children and the “Think, Remember, Question” section at the end of each story’s 6-page spread wraps up the reflection time well.

God’s Big Plans for Me Storybook Bible illustrates the 40 foundational principles written in the #1 New York Times bestseller The Purpose Driven Life by Pastor Rick Warren. With child-friendly language, engaging illustrations, and a chronological approach, Pastor Warren introduces each Bible story with a theme that aligns with one of his foundational principles. He wraps up the stories with a closing thought targeted to early readers. The colorful illustrations and narrative tone bring these beloved Bible stories to life for readers young and old. God’s Big Plans for Me Storybook Bible has foil decoration on the cover.
