What is I’m Going to Give You a Bear Hug! about: I’m going to give you a Bear Hug is about different kinds of hugs.
Like: I like that it is sort of in a poetic form, so it draws attention.  It would be good for a bedtime story.
Dislike: I didn’t like that there were too many bigs in ‘I’m going to give you a pig hug. A never fail, curly tail, big, big, big, BIG hug.’
Recommend: I recommend this to kids 4-8.

EMILY (AGE 7)

What is I’m Going to Give You a Bear Hug! about: It’s about giving a hug, and there’s different kinds of animal hugs – pig hugs, goose hugs, etc. etc.
Like: I like that there are hugs in it!
Dislike: I don’t like that bears may scary in real life. (You might not want to get a hug from a bear in real life!)
Recommend: I would recommend this to EVERYONE!

A NOTE FROM MELODY + EMILY’S MOM

Super cute book that would be great for bedtime. We really loved reading to our girls every single night when they were younger. Now they are older and read chapter books…or should I say “devour” chapter books? We still do read aloud and together from time to time, but I really treasure those night we had. There were wordless book, there were picture books, we read some chapter books, we read devotionals. It’s a precious time together at the end of sometimes hard and challenging days. I’m definitely not a touchy-feely person, and Physical Touch is not on the top of my 5 Love Languages, but sometimes we all need a good hug, whether it’s a horse hug or a cat hug or a best friend hug. 🙂 I also really liked the illustrations. There are many sweet moments.
