That Grand Easter Day!

Easter 2017 was definitely an Easter to remember because we spent it in Washington, D.C. We got dressed (I had a very pretty dress) and we did an Easter egg hunt at the church we visited. It was really hot outside and that wasn’t the usual for us in April either. We also dyed Easter eggs and ate good Easter lunch and dinner with cousins.

What is it about: This book is about the first Easter, which was not about Easter egg rolls or chocolate candy.
Like: I like the bunny and how the ladies’ eyes seem to show all the emotions they were feeling.
Dislike: I didn’t especially like how it ended because I think there could be a bridge between “before he arose on that grand Easter day” and “Christ Jesus arose on that grand Easter day!” But I like the point that it is making.
Recommend: I would recommend this book to ages 2-6.

A NOTE FROM MELODY’S MOM

I’m not sure I have much to add to what Melody already shared above. She is right in saying that you can tell from the illustrations of the characters the feelings of the moment. This is a lovely Easter book for young children to read the story of what happened so many years ago of Jesus dying on the cross for our sins.
